Srividya Iyer (PhD) work seeks to ensure that young people worldwide have timely access to appropriate mental health care and enjoy well-being and social participation. She partners closely with patients, families and communities to impact practice and policy in Canada and globally. Srividya is the Scientific-Clinical Director of ACCESS Open Minds, a pan-Canadian youth mental health network, that includes urban, rural and Indigenous communities. She contributes to mental healthcare capacity-building and research in lower-resource contexts, including India, where she grew up and obtained her initial training. Srividya has received numerous awards and was inducted into the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.
