As the Executive Director of HealthBridge since 1997, Sian Fitzgerald has a wealth of experience in designing and managing projects in global health in developing regions around the world. Sian has a Master of Science degree in international nutrition, and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She has worked in global health since 1992, when she joined the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN´s program to eliminate vitamin A deficiency. Following her return to Canada in late 1995, she worked as a consultant for CIDA and the Micronutrient Initiative in global health, before joining HealthBridge in 1996 as Nutrition Advisor. In 1997, she became Executive Director of HealthBridge, responsible for overseeing all programs at HealthBridge. Her role includes designing, implementing and monitoring programs in global health. Over the past five years, Sian has worked on GAC funded projects on maternal and child health in India, Nepal, and Vietnam.
