Lifetime Achievement Award
Description
This award recognizes CAGH members who have made substantial contributions to the field of global health throughout their careers. Lifetime Achievement Award recipients are presented with a plaque and free registration to next year’s Canadian Conference on Global Health. They also receive a free lifetime membership to the CAGH.
Criteria
- Must be a member of the Canadian Association for Global Health
- Must have at least 15 years of experience in global health, with involvement in one or more of the following areas:
- Demonstrated personal commitment: Spending significant time and energy working internationally, which may include volunteer work.
- Program development and implementation: Experience in creating and executing global health programs.
- Policy development: Involvement in shaping global health policies
- Research or contributions to the body of knowledge: Active participation in research or making significant contributions to the field of global health.
- Service in health-oriented organizations: Engaging in relevant roles within Canadian or international health-oriented organizations.
Process
To nominate someone for this award, please submit the following:
- Nominee's CV or a short paragraph detailing their experience: This should highlight their professional experience, education and accomplishments.
- Description of contributions: Explain why you believe the nominee deserves this award. Provide a 2–3-page description of the nominee's contributions, including specific examples related to the criteria mentioned. Demonstrate their personal commitment and involvement in program development, policy development, research, or service in health-oriented organizations. Highlight their exceptional qualities, notable achievements, and the positive impact they have made in the field of global health.

Lifetime Achievement Award
