Alison Krentel, PhD, is a researcher and consultant in public health, working in over 14 countries. Her research interests include facilitating community engagement, using implementation research to support health systems and translating research results into programmatic action. She is an assistant professor in the School of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Ottawa and an investigator with the Bruyère Research Institute. She holds an honorary fellowship with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where she received her MSc in Public Health (1999) and her PhD (2008). She is current chair of the Canadian Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases.
