Aanjalie Roane is a humanitarian activist who specializes in campaigns to support communities affected by armed conflict and crisis. As the Manager for Humanitarian Communications at Women Deliver, she supports campaigns to help strengthen and elevate the voices of grassroots feminist organizations in crisis settings. She also serves as the Advocacy Trustee for Refugee Rescue – the only search and rescue organization supporting refugees crossing the Aegean Sea from Turkey to Lesvos, Greece. She was previously the Communications Officer for Lighthouse Relief in Greece, where she led campaigns to highlight the needs of refugee children, women, and youth. Before that, as a Senior Associate for Global Health Strategies, she supported campaigns tied to HIV/AID, tuberculosis, and neglected tropical diseases for clients at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and various UN Agencies. In 2014, she also supported efforts to push for the first UN Security Council Resolution condemning attacks against healthcare in conflict-affected states, with IntraHealth International. Aanjalie holds a Master's degree in International Development from the University of Cambridge.
