Gina Ogilvie, MD MSc FCFP DrPH is the Canada Research Chair in Global Control of HPV related diseases and cancer; Professor, UBC School of Population and Public Health; Senior Public Health Scientist, BCCDC; and Associate Director, Women’s Health Research Institute. She is principal investigator on over 13 million dollars in grants from NIH, PHAC, CIHR among others.  Her research focuses on elimination of cervical cancer in Canada and globally, reproductive health and sexually transmitted infections. Her findings have been highly influential in health policy in Canada and globally. For over 15 years she has been Principal Investigator on the ASPIRE program, a global health initiative conducting research and providing women-centred, innovative solutions for cervical cancer prevention and reproductive health in sub-Saharan Africa.  In Canada, she received 10 million dollars to lead the ACE (Accelerating Cervical cancer Elimination) project, examining the optimization of primary and secondary prevention approaches to eliminate cervical cancer.
