Dr. Gail Beck is a Child Psychiatrist who works with adolescents, the Clinical Director of Youth Mental Health at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. She is the former President of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada and Past Treasurer of Medical Women's International Association, and has represented to the World Health Assembly and to the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Dr. Beck was awarded the Queen's Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals for her work in Youth Mental Health and holds the Order of Ontario for her work getting the HPV vaccine funded for young women. She has also served as Past Chair of the Ontario Medical Association Board and past Vice-Chair of the Canadian Medical Association Board. Dr. Beck is currently a Governor at Algonquin College and Vice-Chair of the Board.
