Raman Sohal has worked for several international development agencies ranging from multilateral agencies to implementing organizations providing health services delivery for underserved and last mile populations in lower- and middle-income countries. Raman has designed and managed a variety of projects operating at the nexus of local governance, women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights, and financing gender equality in countries in Africa, Latin America, and South Asia. During her tenure at UN Women, Raman provided technical support to inter-agency UN programming to 10 country offices for a portfolio of US $15 million over three years. Prior to joining the UN, Raman worked for five years at the International Development Research Centre where she managed programs of $7.5 million CAD and $5.5 million CAD focusing on economic growth and poverty and women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights issues. Raman currently works as a Senior Strategy Advisor at North Star Alliance.
