Suzanne Sicchia holds a doctorate in medical science and two masters in public health from the University of Toronto. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream at the University of Toronto where she teaches women and health; globalization, gender & health; the politics of health policy; and global health governance. She is the founding Director of the annual UTSC International Health Film Series & Expo and is currently working on developing a proposal for an interdisciplinary undergraduate minor in global health.  Prior to joining the University, Suzanne worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Research in Women’s Health, a former WHO/PAHO Collaborative Centre. Interests include global health governance, women’s health and human rights, critical public health, critical pedagogies for (global) citizenship, and feminist political economy of health. She is a passionate teacher.
