Michelle Amri, MPA, PhD is a Takemi Fellow at Harvard University. Michelle’s research contributes to the emerging field of politics of health and is situated at the intersection of global public health and public policy, with a particular focus on health equity. Before her doctorate, Michelle consulted for the World Health Organization (WHO) at the Western Pacific Regional Office and Lao PDR Country Office and worked in several policy capacities for the Ontario Public Service. She continues to consult, most recently for the WHO Regional Office for Africa. Michelle is a dedicated and passionate educator, having taught numerous courses at the University of Victoria and at the University of Toronto, and was recognized with a teaching award at the latter. Michelle has published numerous articles and book chapters and is committed to pushing boundaries in the field of ‘global health’.
