The Project aimed to strengthen the capacities of stakeholders in the four countries to design and implement national HIV/AIDS prevention strategies, establishing a comprehensive mobility model consistent with the Regional Strategy for identifying and scaling-up effective interventions to reach the most vulnerable to mobility and HIV. This included national stakeholders’ full and active participation in project design, work plan development, research, the promotion of an enabling environment and transparent supervision of multi-national programming, monitoring and evaluation.
The Canada South East Asia Regional HIV/AIDS Prgram (CSEARHAP) worked with National AIDS Authorities in each of the four project countries, as well as their respective Ministries of Health, Social Services, Agriculture, Labour, Education, Transportation and Immigration, representatives of affected populations, and selected civil society groups.
