Maryanne Crockett, MD MPH FRCPC FAAP DTM&H, is a pediatric infectious diseases physician and associate professor of Pediatrics and Child Health, Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, and Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Her work focuses primarily on global maternal, newborn, and child health in Africa and South Asia and she is the Director of Research and Knowledge Translation for the University of Manitoba’s Institute for Global Public Health. Her research and program interests include understanding vulnerability to illness and death among newborns and children, exploring families’ care seeking pathways and improving community and facility-based care for sick newborns, infants and children.
