Louise Potvin is a leading researcher in the field of public health and health promotion on issues related to intervention research and social health inequalities.  Through her involvement with the International Union for Health Promotion and Education she has supported capacity development in evaluation and health promotion research globally.  During the past 20 years, she has supported the development of health promotion evaluation in Brazil and in Europe. As Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of Public Health she has promoted global health as a significant field of research for population and public health.
