We are excited to invite you to the 2025 Canadian Conference for Global Health (CCGH2025), taking place from October 24-28, 2025, at the Halifax Convention Centre and online. As the largest gathering of global health researchers, practitioners, policymakers, community organizations, and students in Canada, CCGH2025 provides a unique platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and advancing global health solutions.

Volunteer Structure

A new conference volunteer structure has been established based on last year’s feedback. This targeted format will allow for volunteers to focus their time and expertise of areas that are of most interest. Before submitting, carefully review the CCGH Volunteer Policy to ensure you can meet the required obligations. A comprehensive list of teams can be found here.

Volunteers will be expected to:

  • Dedicate at least 2-3 hours per week leading up to the conference (some roles may require more commitment).
  • Actively participate in scheduled team meetings and discussions.
  • Contribute to tasks that align with your selected team’s responsibilities.
  • Support an inclusive and collaborative conference environment.

Benefits of Volunteering

  4. Eligible volunteers may receive discounted or complimentary registration.

Please note that each team will nominate a lead or co-leads who will sit on the overarching steering committee that will meet regularly. This year, we are pleased to welcome Shawna O'Hearn and Margaret Mutumba as co-chairs for #CCGH2025.
