CCGH 2021 Partnership

CSIH and UHAS Collaboration

CSIH is happy to announce its partnership with the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) located in Ghana to host the 27th Canadian Conference on Global health (CCGH), from November 24-26, 2021.

Professor Margaret Gyapong, Director of the Institute for Health Research, and Coordinator at the Centre for Health Policy and Implementation Research at UHAS, will be the co-chair together with Dr. Alison Krentel from the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa.

This is the first time that CSIH has collaborated with an international university to host this annual event. It will be an opportunity to diversify the discourse and exchange knowledge surrounding the theme “Rethinking partnership paradigms in global health”. The CCGH calls for a shift in partnership paradigms in global health in order to achieve the complex and integrated social, health and environmental goals set out in the SDGs. While there are many paradigms for partnership, CCGH 2021 will provide a platform to highlight different partnership models at local, national and international levels and understand how they contribute to equitable and sustainable outcomes. This call for a shift in partnerships for global health will be explored across three pressing and interrelated issues facing our world in 2021: power and privilege, pandemic resilience, and planetary health.

The call for abstracts is now open until June 23, 2021.
